The British Heavy Dragoon pistol was used exclusively from about 1720 - 60, and beyond, but had been slowly
replaced by a lighter version in the 1760's.
It would have been used prior to the F & I war, right through into the war of 1812.

This model has a 12", .62 cal. barrel.

This pistol is a very popular one for the movie industry.
It has been used in the following movies:
"Treasure Island", 1990 with Charlton Heston, "Horatio Hornblower" TV series, "Black Beard" with Angus
McFayden & Richard Chamberlain, etc.
